Throwback Thursday: 2014 Oscars, 2019 GEM Awards

In 2014, I wore a Zang Toi trench gown to the Vanity Fair Oscar party. Last week, I wore the same dress to the GEM Awards -- aka "the Academy Awards of the fine jewelry industry" -- where I posed for a photo with Monica Stephenson, the founder of ANZA Gems. As you can see, Monica is a tall drink of water, so it's not as if I had to scrunch down to fit in the frame with her. This is what happens when I try to break free of the WendyB pose: I need to stick with what works. Anyway, it was a good night for slow fashion. Those shoes are looking pretty good for being nine years old!
