What Wendy Wore: Slow-Fashion McQueen

I've been dressing very casually lately, so I made a point of putting on a dress for MrB's belated birthday dinner on Sunday.

Dress:  Alexander McQueen (2010) Shoes: Prada (2010)

This dress by Alexander McQueen is homegrown vintage. I wore it for the first time during a 2010 trip to L.A., for dinner with my fashion-blogger friends. In the 2010 photo below, it looks like I might be holding my squishy, patent Prada bag from 2007, which happens to be the same bag I carried for this year's birthday dinner.

Click for another photo of the dress in 2011.[/caption] Meanwhile, even as more people get into the idea of slow fashion, I'm having a "yikes" moment about it. You get to a certain age when everything feels like it happened yesterday ... but then you realize it was a decade ago. Digging up photos of homegrown vintage tends to rub that in. Time flies when you're having fun, I guess? That's what I keep telling myself, at least.
